It was my First Visit to Gua Tempurung. Gua Tempurung is a cave in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia. It is popular among spelunkers, or caving enthusiasts. About 3 km long, it is one of the longest caves
in Peninsula Malaysia. There are 4 Tour Packages provided, and we decided to pick Tour 4, the "Grand Tour", which is the most Extreme level. For more information, you may refer to http://www.guatempurung.com.my/package.html. You have to make a reservation first before going to there. :)
It was a nice experience and I would suggest you to bring a Head Torch because it was really very dark inside the cave. Besides, if you want to snap photos inside, you need to have a Waterproof Camera! Yes, be prepare to get wet because you need to crawl through the underground river. Please wear a good non-slippery shoes. You would have to duck-wall, crawl though holes, climb almost vertical walls and slide down slippery stones. Best, if you can prepare yourself a pair of gloves too. Just like me!! ^_^
After caving, you can go to Kampar for the famous Curry Chicken Bread at Restaurant Yau Kee!!
We decided to have a night stay in Ipoh. If you are travelling in a group, it would be good to rent a house together. You can go to Star Villa Homestays to book a nice house. Yup, the house is nice and come with Wifi Connection. ^^
At night, we went to eat Bean Sprouts Chicken Rice. Yummy~
Then, you can go to Tong Sui Street for some desserts...
Next day morning, we went for Dim Sum Breakfast..
After breakfast, we decided to go to 极乐洞. This cave is different with Gua Tempurung, it is a temple actually.
After visiting, we went for several places for lunch before heading back to KL. Why? Because Ipoh has too many famous nice food. Never forget to try Ipoh White Coffee, the most traditional one. The egg tarts and siew pau are very delicious. Besides, we also tried Ipoh Hor Fun.. Awesome~~~
